USA Health regularly recognizes employees for going above and beyond in caring for patients and providing high quality customer service.

Most Consistent Sapphire Award presented

The burn unit and surgical trauma intensive care unit at USA Health University Hospital tied as winners of the Most Consistent Sapphire Award. The award recognizes the units for exceeding our goal of reaching the 75th percentile for overall rating of care for two consecutive months. Both units scored 98 percent. They will display the HCAHPS Most Consistent banner in their units for one month. HCAHPS is the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems.

Adams named employee of the month

Jami Adams, R.N., a nurse who works in radiation oncology at the USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute, has been named employee of the month for May. Among the comments shared about Adams: “Jami always puts the needs of the patients first! She listens to them and offers them advice in a cheerful manner no matter how hectic the clinic day is, which puts them totally at ease during their treatment.”

French named employee of the month

Terri French, an environmental services aide II at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital, has been named employee of the month for May. Among the comments received about French: “Very courteous and friendly. She takes the lead and resolves patient complaints.”

Day named Kudos winner

Kelley Day, R.N., a third floor night nurse at USA Health University Hospital has been named a Kudos winner. Day was recognized for her great patient care. She was honored by her supervisor, Carissa Dunipace, R.N., and nurse manager Valerie Heinl, R.N.
