Cavitt elected president of Alabama chapter of HFMA

As president, Cavitt will be responsible for managing all chapter activities and overseeing the overall operation of the chapter.

Kim Cavitt, assistant chief revenue officer for USA Health, was recently elected president of the Alabama chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

As president, Cavitt will be responsible for managing all chapter activities and overseeing the overall operation of the chapter. She will work to ensure member needs are addressed and that a high-quality level of activity is maintained.

"Mrs. Cavitt’s’s leadership style will be an asset to the Alabama chapter as well as the national association," said C. Ann Jordan, J.D., president and CEO of HFMA.

As assistant chief revenue officer for USA Health, Cavitt provides leadership and oversight for patient financial services, patient access, revenue integrity, and revenue cycle special projects.

She began her healthcare revenue cycle career with Huntsville Hospital Health System, where she spent 22 years growing through various leadership roles across the revenue cycle. Her experience spans quality and education, patient liability, and patient financial services, giving her a broad perspective on the many facets of healthcare revenue cycle Operations.

Cavitt holds a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where she graduated with honors. She previously served as education chair, secretary, and president-elect of the state chapter and is the recipient of the 2024 AL HFMA Volunteer of the Year Award and the 2026 AL HFMA President’s Award. She lives in Mobile with her husband, is the proud mother of two adult children and is a new grandmother.
