USA Health’s Mastin Professional Building has served many purposes since opening in 1968. Originally built as a student dormitory for the Mastin School of Nursing, the building is currently used for several of USA Health’s clinics, as well as faculty and administrative offices.

During its time as a student dormitory, the seven-story building housed more than 150 nursing students. The Mastin Professional Building was named in honor of Dr. William McDowell Mastin and Zemma Crawford Mastin in recognition of their love, affection, and generosity for the city and people of Mobile, as well as for their purpose to advance the skills of nursing.
