Black History Month events set for Feb. 8-12

Here are this week's events for Black History Month.

Published Feb 8th, 2021

On Tuesday, Feb. 2, USA Health allowed us to hear from two great men on the power of representation, the dangers of academic and socioeconomic inequities, and the call for each of us to bridge a gap between the two. Errol Crook, M.D., and Brandon Fleming also left us with two pieces of advice to lead us in honoring Black history and Black stories throughout this month and beyond.

When asked, "What is the one most tangible action each of us can take on a daily basis?" here were their responses:

Dr. Crook: "Be open, and remain informed."

Fleming: "Love somebody. Love first; teach second."

This week, continue to listen with an open mind and open heart. Please see below for this week's events honoring Black History Month.
