To better serve the expanding healthcare needs of residents of Atmore and Escambia County, USA Health’s Drew Citrin, MBA, has been named chief executive officer of Atmore Community Hospital.

In 2025, USA Health and Atmore Community Hospital entered into a management services agreement related to the hospital and its ancillary operations.

“Drew brings healthcare management experience and a passion for patient-centered care to this role,” said Natalie Fox, DNP, chief executive officer of USA Health. “His background also includes operational management, which makes him well-suited to lead Atmore Community Hospital into a new era of growth and innovation.”

As CEO, Citrin is focusing on strengthening Atmore Community Hospital’s current services, fostering collaboration among the hospital’s dedicated team members, and ensuring the facility continues to meet the evolving healthcare needs of residents.

“I’m honored for the opportunity to serve the Atmore community,” Citrin said. “I’m committed to listening and being transparent as I work alongside staff and community leaders to make sure the hospital remains a trusted and dependable resource for those we serve.”

A 49-bed acute care facility with 24-hour emergency department service, Atmore Community Hospital is governed by the Escambia County Health Care Authority Board of Directors. Established more than 60 years ago, the hospital also provides general medical services, along with a range of outpatient and specialty care options such as home health, urgent care, primary care, and therapy services.

Most recently, Citrin managed USA Health’s Department of Neurology. He was an honors scholar and magna cum laude graduate of Auburn University. He also earned an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he was a cum laude graduate. A Mobile native, he enjoys playing golf, hunting and fishing, and spending time with family.

“My goal is to help make a meaningful impact on a local level,” Citrin said. “The opportunity to work in a rural health setting allows you to make a true difference in a community.”
