16th Think Pink Tea to honor breast cancer survivors and those who stand beside them
This year's theme shines a light on the caregivers, loved ones and healthcare professionals who help breast cancer survivors navigate every challenge and celebrate every triumph.
The USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute will welcome breast cancer survivors, supporters, caregivers and medical professionals to the 16th Annual Think Pink Tea on Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center from 3 to 5 p.m. A cherished tradition each October, the Think Pink Tea brings the community together for an afternoon of education, inspiration, and connection.
While the annual event always celebrates the courage and resilience of survivors, this year's theme, "The Hands That Hold Us," puts a special emphasis on the caregivers, loved ones, friends and healthcare professionals whose support helps patients face diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.
Guests will enjoy a runway show featuring breast cancer survivors wearing the latest Belk and Ballin’s LTD fashions and highlighting personal stories of perseverance and hope. Attendees will also hear from MCI experts during an educational panel discussion focused on breast cancer prevention, research, treatment and survivorship.
While the Think Pink Tea is free for survivors and supporters to attend, the event depends on the generosity of sponsors and community partners. Even if unable to attend, community members can still support the event through sponsorship, donations or by sharing information with others who may wish to attend.
