About Rebecca Threlkeld, AGACNP-BC

A proud Mobile native and two-time graduate of the University of South Alabama, Rebecca Threlkeld, AGACNP-BC, brings more than 14 years of critical care nursing experience to her role as an advanced practice provider in trauma surgery at USA Health University Hospital. She earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2010 and went on to complete a Master of Science in nursing with a specialization in adult-gerontology acute care in 2022. The first half of her nursing career was spent in the medical intensive care unit. During that time, she gained valuable experience as a travel nurse working in Texas and Oklahoma for two years. In 2015, she joined the surgical trauma intensive care unit at University Hospital, where she worked for six years in bedside nursing and as a clinical nurse educator. In 2021, she embraced a new opportunity as a clinical response coordinator with Legacy of Hope, where she served as a dedicated advocate for organ and tissue donation – work that deepened her passion for patient advocacy and end-of-life care. Drawn to the collaborative culture and academic mission of University Hospital, Threlkeld returned to the trauma surgery team as a nurse practitioner in 2024. She continues to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to her patients, combining her clinical expertise with a strong dedication to education, advocacy, and interprofessional teamwork.
