"After living with severe pain, as well as other symptoms associated with uterine fibroids and PCS for several years, my OB recommended a full hysterectomy. At this stage in my life, that was not a path I am ready or willing to take. I did some research into other options for treatment. I asked my OB for a referral an IR. She referred me to Dr. Wood. When I had my consultation with him, he asked me all of his questions and listened intently to my answers. He really made me feel heard. He gave an option for a procedure that I could never imagine would make my pain and symptoms go away. He explained all of the steps with the surgery and gave me a very clear picture of the healing time that would take place after. I just had my post op appointment with him. I was able to tell him how thankful I was for him. I had to share with him that I didn't realize how severe my pain was before the surgery until it was completely gone after I healed. I truly believe he has given me a better quality of life. I am currently in the 'living my best life,' stage of my life, and he has helped me to be able to enjoy it by fixing me.
"No surgery is 'simple,' but this one was a better option than having a hysterectomy. I pray this review may help someone else that may have the same diagnosis that I have to see there may be a better option for treatment.
