After a national search, USA Health has named Andrew Lawrence assistant chief financial officer for the health system.

Lawrence has more than a decade of finance and accounting experience at for-profit hospitals and healthcare systems. At Tenet Healthcare, he began his career as a financial analyst for North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia, and rose through the ranks to become market assistant chief financial officer for the Piedmont Market in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

At USA Health, Lawrence will have oversight responsibility for a significant portion of the health system’s financial service areas, including accounting, decision support and third-party reimbursement.

“My overall goal is to continue to grow an already strong accounting and decision support team that can produce readily available information for the organization, which allows them to provide the best care for the community,” Lawrence said.

He will report to USA Health Chief Financial Officer Benny Stover, M.B.A. “Andrew has a strong track record in financial operations leadership, which will be instrumental in helping the health system deliver on its financial objectives and steward its resources as we continue to grow and evolve as a comprehensive health system,” Stover said.

Lawrence said he was drawn to USA Health by the organizational culture and the community. “The leadership is passionate about growing the organization and providing excellent healthcare services to the community,” he said.

Lawrence earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from North Greenville University in Tigerville, South Carolina, and a Master of Accounting and Finance from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
