Team members at Children’s & Women’s Hospital are dedicated to increasing the bond between a mother and her baby through research-backed practices, including breastfeeding and skin-to-skin contact. These lactation practices have many health benefits for mothers and infants, including lower risks of cancer, diabetes, and other diseases.

The celebration will honor the partnerships that make lifesaving trauma care possible while raising philanthropic support for renovations to the Arnold Luterman Regional Burn Center.

The donated board books will be used as part of an international read-a-thon later in the month that encourages parents and caregivers to make reading part of their time with infants.
