Ikrai has maintained an active interest in research and scholarly activity by presenting numerous abstracts, posters, and educational sessions at regional and national meetings, with research interests that include glomerular diseases, kidney transplantation, and health equity.

The H2O Wellness Partners Program is designed to strengthen mental health support and wellness resources across USA Health by training employees to serve as approachable contacts.

Deeksha Acharya, M.D., a cardiovascular disease fellow at USA Health, detailed the case of a 37-year-old man who suffered severe blunt chest trauma in a high-speed motor vehicle collision. 

The medical team remained on site throughout the event to evaluate injuries, manage heat-related concerns, and help athletes return to competition safely. The team addressed injuries including neck strain, cuts and bruises.

The University of South Alabama was named Best Local Company to Work For – Over 500 Employees, and USA President Jo Bonner received the award for Best Local College President. USA Health Pediatric Associates of Mobile received the award for Best Pediatric Group.
