USA Health Providence Hospital has been named Best Emergency Room in Mobile for 2025, earning top honors in the emergency room category as part of the BusinessRate BEST of 2025 Mobile awards.  

The recognition is based on verified Google Reviews, with BusinessRate analyzing review quality, volume, and recency to identify local leaders in customer satisfaction and service excellence.  

“This well-deserved recognition of our emergency care team is validation of the incredible care delivered each and every day,” said Rick Metzger, MMHC, BSN, RN, chief executive officer of Providence Hospital. “We aim to provide precise, efficient, and life-saving care as we work to fulfill our mission of helping people lead longer, better lives.”

The award highlights the emergency department’s consistent commitment to timely, compassionate, and high-quality care, as well as the trust its staff has built within the community. Being selected among local competitors underscores the dedication of physicians, nurses, and all other associates who work around the clock to serve patients during critical moments.  

Part of USA Health, the academic health system for the University of South Alabama, Providence Hospital is a full-service 349-bed hospital providing 24/7 emergency care and a level III trauma center as well as birthing services, surgical procedures, and specialty care to residents in the region.
