The newly renovated unit will provide hospital-based hospice care, offering specialized, compassionate support for patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families in a comfortable, dignified setting.
This year’s program is designed for advanced practice providers, nurses, medical and nursing students, community health workers, social workers, case managers, and allied health professionals. The conference has been approved for 6.3 CEU contact hours by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
The High Performing rating is a “testament to the dedication of our multidisciplinary teams who work around the clock to provide rapid, evidence-based stroke treatment,” said Josh Snow, CEO.
“We know through surveys and feedback that this program has a meaningful and lasting impact on the volunteers, patients, and staff members at our hospitals,” said Rebekah Blanchard, director of volunteer services.
The free exhibit will be on display from Aug. 6 to Sept. 7 at the USA Archaeology Museum on the campus of the University of South Alabama.
The award recognizes young professionals and individuals new to the field for their contributions to the areas of healthcare engineering and facility management; planning, design and construction; safety; clinical and biomedical engineering; and technical management.
