Coastal OB/GYN is celebrating three years of providing compassionate, comprehensive care to women on the Gulf Coast as it continues its commitment to delivering babies at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital.

“We are honored that so many families have trusted us with their care,” said Amy McCoy, M.D., a physician with Coastal OB/GYN. “Through our continued partnership with USA Health, we are offering the best possible care for our mothers and babies.”

Founded July 1, 2022, by McCoy, Brooke Lenz, M.D., Erin Saucier, M.D., Katelyn Parnell, M.D. and Maria Davila, M.D., Coastal OB/GYN was created with a shared vision: to provide high-quality, personalized care in a patient-centered environment.

Located at 3290 Dauphin St., the practice offers a full range of obstetric and gynecologic services. Patients can expect the same trusted care, delivered by a team committed to making each appointment as convenient and stress-free as possible.

When the group was founded, they decided to move all deliveries to Children’s & Women’s Hospital — a move the physicians say was made with patient safety and quality of care in mind.

“Children’s & Women’s is one of only a handful of freestanding hospitals in the United States dedicated exclusively to the care of women and children,” McCoy said. “It’s also the only hospital in the region offering 24-hour in-house anesthesia, in-house pediatricians, a high-risk obstetrics program, a pediatric intensive care unit, and a level III neonatal intensive care unit.”

The hospital also includes a women’s evaluation center staffed 24 hours a day by board-certified OB/GYNs who are on-site seven days a week and have years of experience.

“This level of expertise and continuous care provides an extra layer of safety for our patients during labor and delivery,” McCoy said. “It’s why Children’s & Women’s delivers more babies than any other hospital in our region and why we believe it’s the best and safest place for our patients to deliver.”

As Coastal OB/GYN begins its fourth year, the physicians say their mission remains unchanged: to provide the highest standard of care in every stage of a woman’s life.
