The USA Health Integrative Health and Wellness Program will continue to offer its hands-on cooking classes tailored to the season. This quarter’s lineup includes hearty soups, spices, healthy holiday recipes and holiday leftover makeovers.

Here are descriptions of the classes:

  • Warm, Comforting Bowls for Cozy Evenings: Wholesome, hearty soups that bring warmth and comfort to chilly nights. Perfect for winding down or sharing with family.
  • Flavor-Packed Recipes with Easy-to-Use Spices: Discover simple ways to elevate your meals with spices that add depth, aroma, and excitement — without the fuss.
  • Classic Holiday Favorites with a Nutritious Twist: Enjoy all the festive flavors you love — reimagined with lighter, healthier ingredients to keep you feeling your best.
  • Creative New Dishes from Familiar Holiday Staples: Transform your holiday leftovers into delicious new meals you will want to make again — long after the holidays are over.

Multiple sessions of each class will be offered in the teaching kitchens at the Mapp Family Campus in Fairhope and University Commons in Mobile.

At each session, expect hands-on cooking guidance, recipes to take home, and a fun, welcoming environment.

USA and USA Health employees and their dependents on USA Choice, Select and Consumer health insurance plans, are eligible to take four classes for $5. For the public, and those not on specified health insurance plans already mentioned, the classes are $30 each.

Classes may fill up quickly, as some USA Health and USA employees have already been taking advantage of this benefit. To learn more about what dishes will be prepared and to sign up for classes, click here.
