Patients and staff at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital celebrated the joy and wonder of the holiday season with a tree lighting Thursday, Dec. 7, in the hospital courtyard.

In addition to a 50-foot-tall tree decked in shimmering lights, the event featured holiday tunes and a special visit from Mrs. Claus. Our Children’s Miracle Network childhood champion for 2023, 10-year-old Ocean Kelly, served as the official tree-lighter.

Hospital staff members, including those from the Mapp Child and Family Life Program, coordinated the special evening for young patients, their families and caregivers to help normalize the hospital environment.
