Wilson receives 2021 Community Health Leadership Award

The awards – which were presented virtually via Facebook Live and Zoom – were given to local leaders in education, awareness and action around Mobile’s most urgent community health issues.

Felicia Wilson, M.D., a pediatric hematologist/oncologist with USA Health and professor of pediatrics at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, recently received the 2021 Mobile Community Health Leadership Award from the Mobile Medical Museum.

The awards – which were presented virtually via Facebook Live and Zoom – were given to local leaders in education, awareness and action around Mobile’s most urgent community health issues.

As a pediatric hematologist/oncologist, Wilson diagnoses, treats and manages children with an array of cancers and diseases of blood cells.

Wilson earned a medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine in Charleston, S.C. She then completed her residency training at Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, S.C., and fellowship training at Emory University of Medicine in Atlanta.

She is board-certified in pediatric hematology/oncology by the American Board of Pediatrics. Wilson sees patients at USA Health Strada Patient Care Center and USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital.
