Volunteers needed to direct traffic at mass vaccine event

As USA Health gears up for its second mass vaccine clinic focusing on educators this Saturday, three more volunteers are needed to help direct traffic outside.

As USA Health gears up for its second mass vaccine clinic focusing on educators this Saturday, three more volunteers are needed to help direct traffic outside. The forecast calls for sunny skies and a high temperature of 66 for the event planned for the Mobile Civic Center.

More than 2,200 teachers, school support staff and others received a first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Feb. 13 at the Mobile Civic Center and have been scheduled for a second dose of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine on Saturday. More than 145 volunteers already have signed up.

Volunteers will be provided with a baseball cap, meals and drinks during their shift. All volunteers who sign up will receive a follow-up email regarding parking and additional details.
