Stroke Program awards Save of the Quarter

University Hospital’s Stroke Program recently announced its latest Save of the Quarter during the monthly Stroke Steering Committee meeting. The recognition highlighted the exceptional, coordinated response that dramatically improved a stroke patient’s condition through the rapid reversal of a life-threatening brain bleed.

This quarter’s honor recognized the outstanding efforts of AirCare 1 EMS personnel along with pharmacists Adam Mack and Kate Watterson. Their collective teamwork and rapid decision-making helped the team treat a life-threatening bleed in only 27 minutes.

The Save of the Quarter initiative is a partnership between University Hospital and Medtronic, a healthcare technology company focused on advancing treatment options for chronic and complex conditions, including cardiovascular disease.
