USA Health Outreach: May 13

Fox oversees the strategy, performance, and operations at USA Health, the academic health system for the University of South Alabama, which includes more than 7,200 employees, three hospitals, a cancer institute and more than 40 healthcare delivery sites.

Through its participation, Spiritual Health and Counseling emphasizes the importance of compassion, education and support for those affected by substance use.

One of the month's signature events is the PACT Transition Planning Open House on Sept. 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. The event is designed to help adolescents and young adults with sickle cell disease prepare for the transition from pediatric to adult healthcare services, while connecting families with resources and support systems.

White is actively pursuing additional training through the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Residency Faculty Certificate Program, with an emphasis on teaching strategies, assessment, and program development.

USA Health regularly recognizes employees for excellent patient care and customer service, and marks the special events that celebrate them.
