USA Health expands pediatric cardiology care with new advanced practice provider

Pediatric nurse practitioner Mia McCoy, A.P.N., M.S.N., C.P.N.P., joins USA Health’s pediatric cardiology division

To better serve children living with heart conditions in the greater Mobile area, USA Health has expanded its pediatric cardiology division with the addition of Mia McCoy, A.P.N., M.S.N., C.P.N.P.

She is accepting new patients at USA Health Strada Patient Care Center in Midtown Mobile. Call 251-410-5437 to schedule an appointment.

Most recently, McCoy served as a pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in pediatric cardiology at the UT Le Bonheur Pediatric Specialists Heart Institute in Memphis. She also was an instructor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in the College of Nursing from 2017 until this summer when she moved to Mobile.

Certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, McCoy is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, where she also received an undergraduate degree in nursing.

Part of the only academic health system on the upper Gulf Coast, USA Health’s pediatric cardiology division includes three pediatric cardiologists who also see patients at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital.
