USA Health announced updated core values

Dear USA Health family,

Our commitment to delivering the highest quality care to those we serve is the foundation of everything we do. As part of that commitment, we’ve taken a fresh look at the core values that guide our work, our culture, and our interactions with patients and each other.
After nearly a decade, it was time to reassess. To ensure our values reflect who we are today and who we strive to be in the future, we undertook a thoughtful, inclusive process:

• A leadership survey in December 2023
• A staff survey in January 2024
• A robust discussion at an executive retreat in January 2024
• Final review and alignment at the May 2024 retreat with executives and department chairs

Through this process, we identified the need to build on what’s working — and to be bold enough to evolve. The result is a renewed set of five values:

• SAFETY – We strive for zero harm through our words and actions.
• RELIABILITY – We consistently perform our jobs with the highest quality.
• PATIENT-CENTERED – We always keep patients’ needs in mind.
• TEAM-ORIENTED – We work for the good of the team.
• TRUSTWORTHY – We share information, insights, and ideas that build trust.

Three of these values — Safety, Reliability, and Trust — are new and reflect our evolving priorities. Two — Teamwork and Patient-Centered Care — remain, reinforcing our ongoing dedication to collaboration and the people we serve.

Together, these five values foster a culture where we all play a role in creating an excellent patient experience.

To bring these ideas together, we’re also proud to introduce a new values statement:"Our TEAM delivers SAFE, RELIABLE, PATIENT-CENTERED care patients can TRUST."

This is more than a phrase — it’s a reflection of our purpose and our promise. Thank you for embracing these values and continuing to live them in your daily work.
