Now that COVID-19 restrictions are easing, adults and children with memberships can enjoy the outdoor pool and other offerings at the University of South Alabama Student Recreation Center. Here are the details:

Hours of operation

  • The outdoor pool is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, 12-9 p.m.
  • Children age 16 and under can use the outdoor pool Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 12-9 p.m. and all open hours on Saturday and Sunday. Children age 16 and under also can use other parts of the Student Recreation Center (based on age) on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3-9 p.m. and all open hours on Saturday and Sunday. These areas include the climbing wall, sports courts, table tennis, indoor track and more.
  • Dependents age 17 and up can come any time the center is open. Their hours are not restricted.

Membership

  • All dependents of any age who use the Student Recreation Center, including the outdoor pool, must have a membership. Parents can choose from either a year-round membership at $8 per child per month or a summer pass for $50 per child. The summer pass is good through August 14, 2021.
  • Parent members are charged for up to two children per family. Additional child memberships are complimentary for both the year-round and the summer memberships. Parents need to have an active year-round membership in order for a child to join.
