USA Health employees can donate a pair of new or unused socks during “Socktober” to help Mobile’s homeless population. “Tube Sock Tuesday” will be held for every remaining Tuesday in October at University Hospital and Children’s & Women’s Hospital. USA Health is working with Morrison Healthcare for the event.

The drive will be held in the cafés at University Hospital and Children’s & Women’s Hospital on Oct. 13, 20, and 27. Donors will receive a free 20-ounce fountain drink.

“Socktober” is part of Morrison Healthcare’s “Compass in the Community Initiative” for the month of October. Morrison Healthcare is the new vendor managing food and nutrition services, including USA Health cafés. It serves more than 750 hospitals and health systems across the country as part of Compass One Healthcare.
