Pringle named employee of the month

Blair Pringle, CRNP, a nurse practitioner in the Supportive Oncology Clinic at the Mitchell Cancer Institute, was named employee of the month for January. Among the comments made about her: “Blair’s understanding, patience, deep concern and real empathy with me as a patient go above and beyond expectations.” “Blair is willing to go above and beyond to cover multiple hospitals and patients in emergent situations, and is exceptional in her ability to communicate complex patient management situations with our cancer patients.”

Daisy Award winners honored

The USA Health DAISY Award Committee hosted a breakfast in honor of the 2019 DAISY Award recipients and their nurse leaders. USA Health began partnering with the DAISY Foundation at the end of 2016 to recognize nurses providing extraordinary patient care. McCants named employee of the month

Kent McCants, a maintenance mechanic at Children’s & Women’s Hospital, was selected as the December 2019 employee of the month for the positive impact he has on staff, and patients and their families. McCants goes the extra mile, dressing up and performing in skits at Halloween to the delight of those around him.

USA launches Healthcare Leadership Certificate program
USA launches Healthcare Leadership Certificate program

The Healthcare Leadership Certificate takes a year to complete, with classes held in person at the Mitchell College of Business. The first cohort, a select group of faculty and staff from USA and USA Health, is working through the curriculum and expected to complete the requirements by December 2024.
