It’s time to comb your closets for handbags and totes. USA Health Children’s & Women's Hospital needs your new and gently used purses in excellent condition for a fundraiser in support of the 1,000 premature infants cared for in our hospital each year.

The hospital will host a Purses for Preemies shopping event on Friday, Nov. 8, in the Panda Cares Room (formerly the Multipurpose Room) from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. with handbags available for purchase at various price points.

Please bring clutches, totes, crossbodies and everything in between to Elyse Marley by Thursday, Oct. 31. Her office is located on the second-floor women’s tower in the administration suite at Children’s & Women’s Hospital. She can be reached at 251-415-1603.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the March of Dimes, which helps to support and fund programs and equipment for premature newborns who spend time in the level III neonatal intensive care unit and small baby unit at Children’s & Women’s Hospital.
