Participants from First Baptist Church Robertsdale’s Vacation Bible School recently donated gift bags filled with thoughtful goodies and heartfelt get-well messages for patients at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital.

The church’s Serve Team, led by Pastor Tony Meinhardt, delivered the donations and toured Children & Women’s Hospital, where they learned more about the Spiritual Health and Counseling Department, including opportunities for chaplaincy, volunteering and clinical pastoral education.

“We love building relationships with our community partners because we all share a purpose in life — to reach out and love others,” said Kim Crawford Meeks, chaplain and manager of the Spiritual Health and Counseling Department at USA Health.

Benjamin Estrada tapped to lead USA Health pediatrics

“The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families is what has always inspired me, and it is the people of pediatrics who have shown me what that commitment looks like every day. Their example has reinforced an enduring truth: our purpose extends beyond individual accomplishments because we are united by a mission far greater than ourselves.”, said Benjamin Estrada, M.D.
