From making personalized cards to enjoying sweet treats, thousands of USA Health employees took part in Patient Experience Week 2026, which recognizes the role compassionate, patient-centered care plays in improving outcomes, safety and trust for patients and their families.

Staff members from Children’s & Women’s Hospital, University Hospital, Providence Hospital and dozens of medical offices were treated to everything from doughnuts to cereal bars and gift cards during planned activities throughout the week.

Observed nationally each spring, Patient Experience Week highlights the efforts of healthcare teams who focus on clear communication, empathy and partnership with patients and caregivers. Research shows that hospitals with a strong patient experience performance also see improvements in patient safety, treatment adherence, and overall quality of care.
