This appropriation from U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby follows a $50 million earmark from Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey and a $30 million gift from the University of South Alabama Foundation.
A team of providers, including many of the professionals who established and are operating USA Health’s drive-through vaccination center, will travel to Peru in late March to provide COVID-19 vaccinations and more.

Ji Young Lee, M.D., Ph.D., a pulmonary and critical care physician with USA Health, is studying the fundamental mechanisms of pH regulation in pulmonary endothelial cells, which line the blood vessels of the lungs.
