Children’s & Women’s Hospital raises $2,445 for breast cancer assistance fund

Members of the Women’s Services Division at Children’s & Women’s Hospital came together during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to support patients impacted by breast cancer. Through the sale of specially designed pink T-shirts featuring the hospital logo and the breast cancer ribbon, the team raised and donated $2,445 to the Mitchell Cancer Institute Breast Cancer Assistance Fund.

Staff members proudly purchased and wore the shirts on approved Fridays throughout October to spread awareness and show their support for patients and survivors. The sea of pink across the hospital served as a powerful reminder of the importance of early detection and the hospital’s ongoing commitment to compassion, awareness, and care for those battling breast cancer.

The donation will help provide essential financial assistance to patients facing hardships during treatment, helping to ease some of the burdens associated with care.
