MCI hosts Great American Smokeout on USA campus

The Mitchell Cancer Institute (MCI) joined students on the University of South Alabama campus to host the Great American Smokeout, an annual event aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of tobacco use and its direct link to lung cancer. Through interactive education, resources, and supportive conversations, MCI experts encouraged students to consider the long-term health risks associated with smoking and vaping while offering tools to help them quit. The event served as an important reminder that choosing a smoke-free lifestyle today can significantly reduce the risk of lung cancer and lead to a healthier future.
