USA Health Outreach: May 27
USA Health employees are making an impact in our community. Learn about some of their recent service and outreach projects.
Sharing safety messages with children
Staff members from USA Health had a wonderful time at the Boys & Girls Club Gulf Coast Children's Book Festival, where more than 1,500 elementary students visited exhibit tables and listened to stories. USA Health provided a safety table to teach water safety, helmet safety, fire, pedestrian, and seatbelt safety. Denisha Cohill, RN, from Children’s & Women’s Hospital’s pediatric intensive care unit, and Jennifer Lassiter, RN, a labor and delivery nurse at Providence Hospital, read “Clifford Takes a Ride” to students about booster seat safety.

Stroke Program recognizes Save of the Quarter
The USA Health Stroke Program recently launched a new initiative recognizing the efforts of community partners and staff whose rapid response to a stroke patient contributes to a positive outcome. For the first quarter of 2025, the program acknowledged members of Mobile County EMS who went above and beyond in their care of a stroke patient.

USA Health shares stroke, cancer education with community
Representatives from the USA Health Stroke Program and the Mitchell Cancer Institute shared their message of education and prevention at St. Joseph Baptist Church's Worship on the Lawn event on Sunday, May 25. Vendors from the community participated, and four mayoral candidates attended.
