Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day to benefit USA Health Children's & Women's Hospital

USA Health Children's & Women's Hospital is partnering with Dairy Queen and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals for Miracle Treat Day on Thursday, July 30, giving the community a sweet way to support local pediatric patients.

Participating Dairy Queen locations in Mobile and Baldwin counties will donate $1 or more from every Blizzard Treat sold on Miracle Treat Day to Children's & Women's Hospital, a Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Every dollar raised stays local, helping fund life-saving care, advanced medical equipment and programs that support children and families across the Gulf Coast.

"Every Blizzard Treat purchased on Miracle Treat Day helps make a meaningful difference for children receiving care at Children's & Women's Hospital," said Senora McCracken, senior program manager for Children's Miracle Network & Partnerships at USA Health. "This support allows us to invest in specialized equipment, family-centered programs and services that help ensure children receive the highest level of care close to home."

Children's & Women's Hospital is the Gulf Coast's only hospital dedicated exclusively to the care of children and women. Home to the region's only Pediatric Emergency Center and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the hospital provides specialized, family-centered care for infants, children and adolescents as part of the region's only academic health system.

Funds raised through Miracle Treat Day help purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment and support programs that make a difference for patients and families, including the hospital classroom and meal assistance for families experiencing food insecurity while their child is hospitalized.

Local Dairy Queen franchisee Divyesh Patel is expanding the impact of this year's event by donating Blizzard Treats to children staying at Children's & Women's Hospital. For every Blizzard sold at the Saraland Dairy Queen on July 30, the restaurant will donate an additional Blizzard to a hospitalized child, bringing a little extra joy to patients and their families.

Community members are encouraged to visit any participating Dairy Queen location in Mobile or Baldwin counties on July 30 and purchase a Blizzard Treat.
