Local Goodness proceeds to benefit pediatric IR at Children’s & Women’s Hospital
The sold-out event featured contortionists and stilt walkers, fire breathers and a delicious buffet served under a giant white tent filled with carnival-inspired decorations.
Hundreds attended this year’s Local Goodness, a farm-to-table experience that celebrated the best of local cuisine and music on May 4 at Magnolia Manor. Proceeds from the sold-out event will support pediatric interventional radiology (IR) at Children’s & Women’s Hospital.
With the theme “Under the Big Top,” the fun-filled evening featured contortionists and stilt walkers, fire breathers and a delicious buffet served under a giant white tent filled with carnival-inspired decorations.
“In addition to our generous sponsors, I would like to thank our Local Goodness co-chairs Virginia O’Brien and Worth Hieronymus, and their enthusiastic army of volunteers, and our development team, who have worked tirelessly to bring this event back to the community,” said Deborah Browning, MSN, R.N., CENP, chief executive officer of Children’s & Women’s Hospital.
Since 2014, Local Goodness has played a pivotal role in the continued growth and development of Children’s & Women’s Hospital. With the expansion of pediatric IR at the hospital, children can stay in our community for the procedures they need, experiencing less pain, enhanced recovery time and in a child-friendly environment.
