MCI congratulates Katrina Schonemann as Employee of the Month for September

The Mitchell Cancer Institute recognized Katrina Schonemann, RN, with the Fairhope Infusion team, as its September Employee of the Month. Patients and colleagues praised Katrina for her compassion, professionalism and teamwork, noting that she “went well beyond what was expected of her as a nurse” and “treated me with kindness, patience, and genuine concern.” Others shared that “she made sure every visit felt safe and comforting” and that “her positive attitude and willingness to help others set the tone for the whole team.” 

Internal Medicine recognizes Gloria Reese as Employee of the Month for September

Gloria Reese, a care access associate in the Department of Internal Medicine, was recently named Employee of the Month for September. She is consistently acknowledged for her helpful disposition, positive attitude, and unwavering commitment to excellence. She makes it her mission to offer a kind word or gesture daily, uplifting not only the patients she speaks with over the phone or sees in the clinic, but also her coworkers. Her warmth and encouragement are felt by all who interact with her. With 27 years of service at USA Health, Reese has held various positions across several departments. She reflects fondly on the many wonderful individuals she has worked with throughout the years and considers herself truly blessed. “Being chosen as Employee of the Month is certainly an honor, and it motivates me to keep striving and putting my best foot forward each day,” Reese said.
