USA Health Physician Enterprise announces BEE Awards and Daisy Awards

Ceara Weaver, coordinator of practice operations at Coastal OB/GYN, and Jenn James, medical assistant at Semmes Pediatrics, were named BEE Award winners for Physician Enterprise recently. The BEE Award honors non-nursing staff who provide outstanding support and compassionate care to patients, families, and fellow staff members.  

Nina Jo Hubbard, a CRNP with USA Health Endocrine and Diabetes, was named a DAISY Award winner. The Daisy Award celebrates and recognizes nurses to thank them for the care and kindness they provide. 

Safety team completes badge challenge

The safety team at Children’s & Women’s Hospital has earned all five badges in the Children’s Hospitals’ Solutions for Patient Safety Learning Series Badge Challenge.

The achievement reflects the strong commitment of staff members to advance pediatric safety and quality. Each badge represents meaningful learning, collaboration, and the continuous effort the team puts into creating safer, more reliable care for the children and families served. 

Providence and Strada host vendor fairs during Medical Assistant Week

USA Health celebrated Medical Assistant Week with two vendor fairs for medical assistants within Physician Enterprise. Multiple vendors participated and provided goodies for the staff. Vendors from the community included Elite Fragrances, Soleo Health, Gentiva, Enchanting Glo, and Promotional Designs. Special thanks to all the USA vendors who also supported the events.  

Save of the Quarter winners announced

USA Health University Hospital's Stroke Program “Save of the Quarter” initiative recognizes the quick thinking and treatment administered in an effort to help save a brain. For the third quarter, the program recognized dialysis nurses Allante King and Jennarda Cox who noticed their patient was having a stroke. Their quick thinking and attention to detail absolutely helped save their patient’s life. The initiative is a partnership between University Hospital and Medtronic, a healthcare technology company that develops products to address chronic health conditions, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes and more.
