Nurse named Patient Experience Champion at Children’s & Women’s Hospital
In March, Children’s & Women’s Hospital selected pediatric nurse Mary Rohm, RN, as the Patient Experience Champion. Here’s what the parent of a patient in her care had to say about her: "Nurse Mary was the best nurse I ever met! She made this experience so much better. Her soft voice and her beautiful smile were so refreshing, and it made our day so much better. She was so sweet! Thank you to each and every one of the staff that made this hospital stay as enjoyable as possible!"
University Hospital recently presented DAISY and BEE awards for the fourth quarter
Eboni Stribling, BSN, RN, a nurse in the Progressive Care Unit, received the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurse Educators. This award celebrates nursing faculty, clinical educators, and preceptors who demonstrate exceptional commitment to teaching, mentoring, and inspiring students and nurses.
Imari Smith, BSN, RN, a nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, received the DAISY Award. The DAISY Award honors nurses who provide extraordinary, compassionate, and skillful care to patients and families.
Leola Jenkins, a patient care assistant in the GI Lab, received a BEE Award for Being Excellent Every Day.
