Patient Experience Champion named for May at Children’s & Women’s Hospital

Spencer Gayles, RRT, a registered respiratory therapist at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital, has been recognized as the Patient Experience Champion for May.

He was nominated by a family member of a patient, who said, in part:

“The gentleman who came in to do her EKG was also incredible with her. He explained how the machine worked, was careful to always keep her covered, and had the calmest, kindest demeanor during a scary moment for her. She has never had any testing like that before and the way he spoke to her and explained each step helped her to stay calm.”
