Kenya Congress named May Employee of the Month for internal medicine
Kenya Congress, a medical assistant with the Mastin Patient Clinic, has been named the Department of Internal Medicine’s Employee of the Month for May 2025. She received three nominations that recognized her for going above and beyond the call of duty, though she tends to work “quietly behind the scenes helping patients and coworkers.” Congress says she doesn’t like to draw attention to herself, but her integral contributions to the team efforts at Mastin, where she has worked for three years, have not gone unnoticed. “This recognition means a lot to me, and I appreciate being recognized for my contributions to the office,” she said. “I truly enjoy working here and what I do.” For Congress, healthcare is a passion. She said she feels being a caregiver is part of who she is, and she considers it an honor to provide support to patients.
Grateful Giving Spotlight
Pediatric nurses Trinity Johnson and Mila Kaczmarczyk were recently honored by a grateful parent who made a donation in their names. He shared a heartfelt message of thanks for the exceptional care they both provided to his son. As a result, these nurses were recognized and received Heart of Gold Honoree pins during a recent shift at USA Health Children's & Women's Hospital.
"Trinity and Mila are both outstanding nurses that deserve recognition for the work they do day to day. Pediatric nursing is hard, with many challenges and they both excel in their field ...They frequently checked on my son's wellbeing, always with a smile, and with gentle words. You could tell they love their jobs and enjoyed the Pediatric medicine field. Was very impressed by the care we received. Thank you to them."
