Anne M. Vella, Ed.D., recognized for 35 years of service

Anne M. Vella, Ed.D., the founding teacher for Class Act, the school within USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital, retired this summer after 35 years of service. Surrounded by family and friends, she was celebrated with a dinosaur-themed sendoff in the fourth-floor classroom. Since opening in 1990 Vella and the other Class Act teachers and staff have ensured that students, whether from public, private, or out-of-county schools, continue learning while hospitalized.
