MCI names Lankford employee of the month
Announced as the Mitchell Cancer Institute’s July employee of the month, Valenda Lankford, LMSW, oncology social worker, is known for going the extra mile, where she often finds creative solutions to connect patients with the resources they need. She offers a listening ear without judgment, meets patients where they are, and works to remove obstacles that could impact their care. Colleagues praise her as a trusted partner, skilled communicator, and wealth of knowledge who strengthens the entire care team. Her compassion, positivity, and unwavering commitment make a lasting difference for both patients and staff at the MCI.
