Walker named employee of the month
Brittany Walker, LMSW, supervisor and oncology social worker at the Mitchell Cancer Institute, was named employee of the month for March. Among the comments made about Walker:
- “She treats the patients as if they’re family members. She’s compassionate, a team player, and always has a positive attitude.”
- “Brittany meets the patient where they are and provides them with a safe space and a nonjudgmental listening ear, which makes them feel empowered. She not only treats patients this way, but staff as well.”
- “She communicates well within her department and with the teams around her, making sure we all work together to take care of the patients.”
