Marasca receives DAISY Award
Holley Marasca, RN, a nurse in the NICU at Children's & Women's Hospital, was presented with a DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Comments from her nomination included:
"Holley has picked me up when I would fall down and continued giving me the strength and the courage to be strong for my son. She is compassionate and loves her patients. Apart from being there for us, she provided an exceptional amount of love and care for my baby. She has gone above and beyond in every way possible. She notices even the slightest change with him and I could never thank her enough. She is caring, loving and amazing. She loves her patients and advocates for them like her own. While this journey is difficult and long, nurses like Holley makes a huge difference in our lives. We are forever and eternally grateful for having a Holley in our lives."
Yeager honored with Bee Award
April Yeager, from Food and Nutrition Services at Providence Hospital, was honored with a Bee Award for "Beeing Exceptional Every Day." Among the comments made during her nomination:
“She treated me like a person instead of just a patient. Helped me decide what to eat. Very friendly person. Good worker and plenty of energy.”
"April was very nice, prompt in serving. She was professional, neat, clean and courteous. Compassionate to the desires of food for the patient per diet plan. April was very pleasant. April deserves an exceptional award every day for being a dedicated employee for the hospital. We feel she needs a great reward.”
