Biggs named Safety MVP winner

Julia Biggs, a patient care assistant at University Hospital, was named a Safety MVP winner.

Kidd named employee of the month

Julisa Kidd, RN, a nurse at the Mitchell Cancer Institute, was named employee of the month for March. Among her accolades:

  • “Julisa has been a shining star since she first started with MCI. She always has a smile on her face and is happy to help in any way. She goes with the flow, has a great attitude, strong knowledge base, and is always eager to learn more.”
  • “She is pleasant when speaking with patients on the phone. She is tactful and handles nurse calls with grace and empathy.”

City of Mobile proclaims September as Sickle Cell Awareness Month

One of the month's signature events is the PACT Transition Planning Open House on Sept. 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. The event is designed to help adolescents and young adults with sickle cell disease prepare for the transition from pediatric to adult healthcare services, while connecting families with resources and support systems.
