Employees of the Month
Chelsea Moorer, the lead LPN for the Mastin Clinic, was selected as employee of the month for surgery for February. Moorer, who joined the department in October 2014, has primarily worked with Leander Grimm Jr., M.D., in the colorectal division. She was recognized for her patient outreach and compassion. In particular, a patient had called to cancel a surgery because she was too scared to go through it. When Moorer returned the call, she talked with her for 30 minutes and helped calm the patient’s nerves. “She made her feel like she wasn’t the only person who was ever afraid to have surgery.” Lauren Myers, a medical assistant at the Stanton Road Clinic, has been named employee of the month for February for the Department of Internal Medicine. She received several nominations for her willingness to help her colleagues and her delivery of outstanding patient care. Lauren said she loves to help people, and she enjoys spending time with her children and family and attending church. “Thank you, Lauren, for the dedicated hard work and giving the extra to ensure our patients’ needs are met!”
