USA Health hosting employee appreciation picnics
“It is appropriate that we slow down for a moment and say something our employees need to hear: ‘Thank you!’” said Kerry Flowers, chief culture and experience officer for USA Health.
In a demonstration of gratitude, USA Health is hosting employee appreciation picnics in May at facilities across the health system. All employees – now totaling almost 7,500 – are invited to a picnic in their honor where they can relax and enjoy a meal with their colleagues.
The events are scheduled for May 1-2 at Children’s & Women’s Hospital and University Hospital, and May 13 at Providence Hospital.
“Because healthcare is a 24-hour, seven-days-a-week, 365-days-a-year business, we move at a fast pace to address the needs of our patients, their families, and our communities,” said Kerry Flowers, chief culture and experience officer for USA Health. “It is appropriate that we slow down for a moment and say something our employees need to hear: ‘Thank you!’”
Children’s & Women’s Hospital and University Hospital will serve hamburgers or veggie burgers, bagged chips, baked beans, cookies and drinks. Providence Hospital will serve a barbecue meal.
