Doctors’ Day was observed in a slightly different way this year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

USA Health physicians were treated to grab-and-go breakfasts at Children’s & Women’s Hospital and boxed lunches at University Hospital. March 30 marks the annual observation of National Doctors’ Day in the United States, where the contributions of physicians are celebrated.

The idea came from Eudora Brown Almond, wife of Dr. Charles B. Almond, and the date chosen was the anniversary of the first use of general anesthesia in surgery, which was March 30, 1842.
