Now through May 31, local Costco shoppers can donate at checkout to help fund specialized pediatric care in Mobile.

What starts as a quick stop at Costco has become a lasting source of support for children and families across the Gulf Coast.

Since 2016, Costco Wholesale in Mobile has raised more than $250,000 for pediatric healthcare initiatives at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals campaigns and community giving efforts.

Now through May 31, shoppers can continue that tradition by donating at checkout, helping fund specialized pediatric care and patient support services for local families.

Hospital leaders say the partnership goes far beyond fundraising dollars, as it strengthens access to compassionate, specialized care close to home for families throughout the region.

“Community investment is a core part of who we are,” said Myshell Williams, membership clerk at Costco in Mobile. “Supporting the health and well-being of women and children is not just philanthropy; it is an investment in the long-term strength of our community.”

In addition to financial contributions, Costco associates support USA Health through in-kind donations and volunteer-driven efforts that help power events and outreach initiatives benefiting patients and families year-round.

The impact of the partnership is often most visible through personal connections made inside the warehouse. Over the years, Costco associates have welcomed local Children’s Miracle Network Champions into the store, creating memorable experiences that remind employees and shoppers alike of the lives their generosity helps change.

“Earlier this year, associates had the opportunity to meet our local 2026 Children’s Miracle Network Champion, JB Bramblett, during a special baseball-themed celebration of children’s health,” said Senora McCracken, senior program manager for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at USA Health. “Those moments create meaningful connections between our patients, families and the community members who support them.”

Inside the store, fundraising has become part of the culture. Associates organize interactive campaigns, recognition events and community engagement activities designed to inspire participation and reinforce the shared mission of helping local children thrive.

Customers can support the campaign by making a donation at checkout or by purchasing campaign balloons, including Jumbo Balloons that provide individual or business recognition for gifts above a certain level. All balloons are displayed in-store. The campaign extends special thanks to Alston Refrigeration Co. and Kingdom Pro Wash for their generous Jumbo Balloon-level contributions.

For Costco associates and hospital leaders, the campaign represents more than a seasonal fundraiser. It is a community-wide investment in the future health of children and families across the Gulf Coast — ensuring they continue to have access to compassionate, specialized care when they need it most.

“We are incredibly grateful for the continued generosity of Costco associates, members and community partners,” McCracken said. “Their support helps ensure local children and families have access to the specialized care they need close to home, and that impact will be felt for years to come.”
