Chaplains from across the Gulf Coast gathered last month at Beckwith Camp and Conference Center for a retreat during Spiritual Care Week.

Themed "Chaplaincy Beyond Religion," chaplains from Saad's Healthcare, Mobile Police Department, Singing River Hospital and USA Health enjoyed a day of rejuvenation with sessions in sound therapy, laughter yoga, chair yoga, journaling, and quiet time in nature.

The retreat ended with a ceremony of remembrance for all the patients and families that the chaplains have supported throughout the year.

The Gulf Coast Chaplaincy Association, which organized the retreat and offers support to chaplains, was relaunched in 2022 by Kim Crawford Meeks, manager of spiritual health and counseling at USA Health.
