USA Health has named Carrie Pace, MBA, executive director of project management and system execution, a newly elevated leadership role designed to strengthen systemwide governance, coordination, and execution across the academic health system.

In this role, Pace will provide enterprise oversight for the prioritization, planning, and delivery of all major initiatives across USA Health, ensuring projects are aligned with strategic goals, operational capacity, capital investment, and clinical readiness. She will also assume responsibility for integrating IT initiatives into a unified project governance framework, supporting a more coordinated, transparent, and disciplined approach to systemwide execution.

“Carrie has repeatedly demonstrated an exceptional ability to lead complex initiatives and bring clarity, discipline, and accountability to work that spans our entire health system,” said Natalie Fox, DNP, CEO of USA Health. “She understands how strategy, operations, technology, and people intersect, and she has earned the trust of leaders across USA Health. Her leadership in this role will be critical as we continue to grow and operate with integration and efficiency in mind.”

Pace brings more than a decade of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, compliance, and project management, with deep institutional knowledge gained through her continued advancement within USA Health. Most recently, she served as senior director of practice support and special projects, where she led high-impact initiatives including the relocation and consolidation of more than 20 clinics, establishment of a centralized non-clinical support team for over 40 clinics, implementation of new access and referral workflows, and deployment of a VoIP system across 30-plus locations to improve patient communication and operational insight.

Previously, Pace held multiple leadership roles within USA Health focused on IT quality, regulatory compliance, and HIPAA security, where she managed enterprise risk, regulatory reporting, and clinical application optimization across both acute and ambulatory settings. Her work consistently bridged clinical, operational, financial, and technology teams to deliver sustainable improvements and ensure regulatory readiness.

“Carrie has a proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and turn strategy into execution,” Fox said. “Her experience, credibility, and systemwide perspective make her uniquely qualified to help USA Health move forward as one integrated health system.”

In her new role, Pace will partner closely with executive leadership and leaders across clinical operations, IT, finance, strategy, facilities, supply chain, legal, and human resources. The position reflects USA Health’s continued focus on systemness, ensuring that initiatives impacting the health system are visible, coordinated, and delivered with discipline.

Pace holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in project management from Louisiana State University Shreveport and a Bachelor of Arts in public relations from Auburn University.
