Living Well With Diabetes - Class 1

The first class in the series, offered on the first Tuesday of the month, addresses how to understand diabetes and glucose targets, monitor blood sugar and recognize trends, prevent and treat high and low glucose, and includes a guide to diabetes medications.

USA Health Endocrine and Diabetes is offering a two-part class series designed to support individuals living with diabetes on the Eastern Shore and surrounding areas.

Offered at the USA Health Mapp Campus in Fairhope, the Living Well with Diabetes program was created to provide participants with the tools, understanding, and encouragement needed to better manage their condition and improve their overall quality of life.

A provider referral is required to attend. Check with your healthcare provider to determine if diabetes education is covered.

All classes are scheduled from 2-4:30 p.m. Upcoming class dates for 2025 are as follows: July 1, Aug. 5, Sept. 2, Oct. 7, Nov. 4, Dec. 2

    The American Diabetes Association recognizes this program as meeting the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education.
